Learning Forum: NGOs Laud NGORC on Successfull Implementation of IMCP
Aga Khan Foundation organized the “Learning Forum on the Institutional Management and Certification Programme (IMCP),” being implemented by NGO Resource Centre at a Marriott hotel in Islamabad on April 5, 2006.

Representatives of about 50 IMCP partner civil society organizations from across the country attended the “Learning Forum”. In their presentations, the participants termed the IMCP as a success.

The IMCP, funded jointly by the USAID and the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) – USA has focused to strengthen management capacity and promote management standards within Pakistan’s NGO sector.

Learning Forum - Institutional Management and Certification Programme

Objectives of the Forum:
1. Participatory Review and Lessons learning from IMCP and future planning:
2. Share the pilot experience and the IMCP approach with the key stakeholders;
3. Certify the partner organizations that have successfully gone through the capacity building process to meet USAID management standards.

In addition to the AKF Pakistan, AKF USA, NGORC, USAID and the 52 partner NPOs, other NPOs and key stakeholders from the public sector and international donor community will also participate.

Workshop: Capacity building for NPO Tax Exemptions on September 20, 2004
  Civil NPO Tax exemption is a facility provided by the Goverment to Non-profit organisations because of lack of traing and awareness NPOs are unable to take adventage of facility. NGORC through IMCP is conducting a 3 day workshop on this issue.
