NGO Resource Centre (a project of Aga Khan Foundation) in collaboration with Human Resource Development Network (HRDN) organised a half-day workshop on “Project Management – Myths and Realities” here on Wednesday.

Ms. Afsheen Anwar, senior faculty and Manager, Special Initiatives, NGORC conducted the workshop. About 19 participants (about 40 percent women) from different civil society organizations attended the workshop.

The workshop aimed at looking at the project management concepts (and misconceptions), tools and prevalent techniques from a critical angle so that project managers can avoid committing management fallacies and are better able to achieve development results.

The workshop covered topics like an introduction to project management principles and terminology, self analysis of misconception regarding project management and guidance for effective project management for development results.
